ABOUT US
Gloria Rose Creations is dedicated to raising money for Giving Gold for Lou which helps fund research into ovarian cancer.

On the May 1, 2013 Louise (Lou) Quinn went to the hospital with dizziness, bloating and a change in bathroom habits as her only symptoms. The next day, Lou went into surgery at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, where a large mass in her abdomen was removed. However ovarian cancer was also found to have spread throughout her liver and diaphragm. Lou and her family learned that chemotherapy would not be an option. Lou died May 13, 2013, just 12 days after being admitted to hospital at 33 years of age. It was Lou’s wish that her case be used to advance research on ovarian cancer.
Lou’s partner, Terry, went on an awareness raising ride to the U.S. to scatter a small amount of Lou’s ashes at the Disneyland Lou never visited. Lou’s mother, brother, aunt and close family friend have worked hard to raise funds to donate to ovarian cancer research conducted at Melbourne’s The Royal Women’s Hospital. Ovarian cancer has vague and easily dismiss-able symptoms. Please take the time to read the information sheet here about this terrible cancer.

Please consider donating to ovarian cancer research at www.givinggoldforlou.com.au

Many thanks to Alana for donating her time to model the aprons for this site, and to Marian for proof-reading and editing the copy.
